Do you need a bath?

Hello and may this blog find you in great health with your Medicare insurance coverage working well as we enjoy month of May.

This is the third week and I keep hearing good things from clients about drug savings. Before filling an expensive refill, reach out to Cori at the Canadian Med Store in Florida 🍊(yes, in Florida). No guarantees, but it’s always worth a second look.

For Medicare questions, quotes, or quandaries, email Gray@TheBig65.com or book a time on my calendar and we’ll get it sorted.

We’ve been saying it for years, and you know it. Medicare is a pain in the 🐴 …

This week, It’s back to my roots, spending time in the mountains of Virginia, where I grew up and, as my wife Q frequently says, “was raised rough.”

Life long friends Johnny and Sarah have created a paradise for their family here in Pounding Mill, far from the noise most of us listen to daily.

Friends walking in the woods.

They are now in the early stages of creating a “glampground” to share the beauty and the joy they have been experiencing for the last few decades with those of us who need a break from city livin’. We’ll keep you posted on their progress, because, as the saying goes, this place is “almost heaven.”

After several weeks on the road in big cities attending Medicare and Long Term conferences, it was a pleasure to decompress in these quiet surroundings, walking, swimming, eating meals together, and enjoying the rhythm of nature.

Forest bathing, or “Shinrin-yoku,” is the practice of immersing yourself in a natural environment, reconnecting with nature.

Spending time in nature reduces stress levels, lowers blood pressure, and improves overall mental health. The sounds of rustling leaves, the sight of stars (we saw the northern lights), and the fresh, clean air are tonic to soothe the body and the mind.

You can head to the mountains, but just getting out in the yard and taking a few deep breaths is beneficial. Interrupting life’s daily frustrations and looking for the magic that surrounds us is the secret cure we often overlook. Count your blessings, they grow up fast.

At one of their kid’s soccer games, Johnny introduced me to Midas, a seven week old full on wolf puppy, super cute.

Learning the father of Midas weighs one hundred thirty pounds dissuaded me from bringing one home… but my family had other opinions.

Thank goodness Plato cast the final vote from back home… “no thank you!” He is a very jealous fellow and prefers being top dog.
