Well July is a memory now. The months go faster every year, don’t they?
We had so much fun with this young’un houseguest from France. Justin is the son of our first exchange student from 24 years ago! The circle is unbroken.
The three weeks with him went by in a blink. That’s a good thing.
Of course we spoiled him, showing him everything we love about the US, including a demolition derby in rural Virginia!
It’s always good for the kids to get away from the parents and for the parents to have a break from their kids.
I suggested he bring a few poison dart frogs home from the zoo, but Justin is a rule follower and he wouldn’t comply.
All good things have to end and on Monday, we put him on the plane back home to his parents in France. Now the house is quiet.
I’m guessing he had as much fun as we did because yesterday, he sent us this text.
It’s easy for us grandparent types to not be boring. We can fill the varmints with sugar and send them home.
Still, after having kids living with us for the past 13 months (Justin for three weeks, Mitia from Madagascar for twelve months)… it’s kinda of nice to have a quiet house… and no one competing with me for the ice cream sandwiches in the freezer🍦😂.
Now I’m completing the Medicare certifications for 2027 and preparing for the fall.

New drug plans will NOT be available till October, but, if you’ve had a change in your meds and/or your doctors, reach out to my colleague Gray, Gray@TheBig65.com. Gray will send you a link to update all of your information so we will be ready.
Plan information for 2027 is normally sent out mid September.
AEP, the Annual Election Period, is from October 15th to December 7th. That’s when the changes can actually be made to the Part D drug plans and the Medicare Advantage Plans.
So, if you’re not happy with your current drug coverage (or your Medicare Advantage Plan), let Gray know now and we’ll have you on the list to do a review.
That way, we won’t have to put out any fires when it’s too late (like the picture of Mt. Aetna our son sent us from Italy). Stay cool and reach out when you need us.
